Given the Current Challenges associated with the
Deepwater Horizon Spill, many new "lessons learned" are
presenting themselves to contractors and operators. Unlike
hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the ADCI would like to be a repository
for any information that can contribute to greater efficiency and
safe operations.
These information shares should be submitted in
the form of e-mails to the ADCI, covering such issues as coming up
with a 2 minute plan for dealing with a contaminated diver, who has
surface from a Sur 'D' O2, or what types of
equipment have proven to be efficient or inefficient for diving in
waters contaminated with hydrocarbons and dispersants.
The spill has and will continue to impact all
industries, who conduct operations in the Gulf of Mexico,
specifically in the Southeastern Louisiana region.
As such, all efforts should be made to consolidate information
which promotes the overall safety of industry stakeholders.

This Information was
sent to further the communication of all industry
stakeholders. Safety is the primary concern of the
ADCI. Remember: a real-time Job Safety Analysis is
important, but nothing can replace good common sense.
